Flush Levers for Visible Cisterns

A flush lever is the handle on the side or front of a toilet cistern. When it wears out, works loose or no longer matches your bathroom, replacing it is a simple job that can refresh the whole toilet. Levers are designed for cisterns that sit on show, rather than hidden in the wall.

Where Does the Lever Fit?

Cisterns take levers in different positions: the front, the side or the corner. Before you order, check where the lever hole sits on your cistern, its size, and the length of the arm inside the cistern so it reaches the flush mechanism.

Traditional Ceramic Handles

Ceramic handles on a metal lever are a hallmark of period bathrooms. They pair well with high level and low level cisterns, roll top baths and classic taps. Choosing a lever in the same metal finish as your taps keeps the look consistent.

Low Level and High Level Flush Kits

Traditional toilets often have a cistern mounted on the wall above the pan, connected by a flush pipe. A low level kit is used when the cistern sits just above the pan, while a high level kit is used for cisterns mounted near the ceiling with a long pipe and pull chain. Kits typically include the flush pipe and fittings needed to connect cistern and pan.

Measure Before You Buy

For flush kits, measure the height from the pan inlet to the cistern outlet and the distance from the wall. Each product page lists its dimensions so you can check it against your toilet.

Complete the Toilet

A new lever looks best with a matching toilet seat, especially in traditional bathrooms where wood and ceramic finishes work together.
